Number 1 topic sa mga Pinoy Kpop fans. Usap-usapan sa cbox, sa mga text clan, sa facebook status update, twitter, multiply note, me2day, at kung saan saan pa. It's already confirmed. SHINEE WILL COME TO PHILIPPINES.

The Philippine Enteratinment Portal released an article confirming the attendance of SHINee, with Might Mouth and Winterplay, for the free Kpop concert that was scheduled on November 27 at CCP Main theater. Shinee World Citizens keep on spazzing about it, expressing their joy and excitement.

Some are planning to skip class and work in order to see these 5 lovely boys. Tsktsk, mga iho't iha, school muna okay? Pero di natin mapipigilan ang mga bagets, minsan lang ito at libre pa. Wala ng libre sa mundo, diba?

Anyway, ang ilan ay nagbabalak na magstalk, sa airport at sa hotel, at pati sa damuhan ng CCP. This is a free event, but some are still asking kung may ticket daw (uhm excuse me, free event nga diba).

So let's wait for further details regarding this event.

KPOP activites before the year ends

Haven't you noticed that there are lots of KPOP activities for November and December?
Want to know them?

1. Philippine - Korean Friendship Festival
Almost all Pinoy kpop fans already know about this. A festival will be held from November 25-27 at the CCP Main Theater. The Embassy and Arirang TV will also be bringing in a popular Korean pop group for a free concert on November 27. Rumors states that this pop group will be SHINee. But still no confirmation about this.

2. Kpop sing and dance contest
Try having a MRT ride. When you reach the Magallanes station, you will see a big LCD screen at Alphaland Soutgate mall. One of the ads there was a KPOP sing and dance contest. But I think the elmination round is already finished. Whoever sponosored this contest, I don't know.

3. UP's KPOP sing and dance contest.
Another sing and dance contest will be held at University of the Philippines this December 4, 2009. This contest is sponsored by the Korean International Cooperation Agency or known as KOICA. In line with this, a speech contest will also be held on the same venue. The speech must talk about Korea. And the grand prize? A 3 month korean course in Korea.

4. Philippine Kpop Convention
One of the most anticipation event of the KPOP fans (well, kchismax is excited too). From November 21 to October 31 to December 5. Finally the date is already settled. This convention was organized by the different fanclubs of KPOP stars. A rumor reached kchismax that a Pinoy celebrity who likes KPOP will host this event. How true? Well, we really need to anticipate this event.

KPOP stars coming to Philippines

It's been one of the talk of the town. Various Kpop artist who will come to Philippines. All are rumors and no confirmation yet.

Let's break 'em down.

1. SHINee
After the release of an article that talks about the celebration of Phil-Kor friendship, it was stated that a popular KPOP group will have a free concert on November 27 at CCP main theater. Rumors start spreading that this "popular group" will be SHINee. Until now, there is no "OFFICIAL" confirmation about this.

2. 2NE1
Filipino Black Jacks were set on fire after reading the article that there are plans for 2NE1 to hava a concert here in March. Some were already saving money just to see this concert. If ever, this will be the 1st 2NE1 concert and it's in Manila.

3. SS501
An information reached us that there will be a "Persona" tour here in Manila on January 2010. Again, this is not yet confirmed. But there is an online survey for Pinoy Triple S regarding the concert thing.

People are really anticipating for kpop stars coming in the Philippines. Some Pinoys were being confused about this. Some were asking who will come on the Philippine KPOP Convention. If we're right, the Kpop Convention is different from the Phil-Kor festival that will be held this November.

Well, let's stay tuned and cross our fingers!!

After a quarter of being hiatus, kchismax is back to bring some chikas from kpop in pinas.

3 months rin ang nagdaan, at marami ng mga kaganapan ang nalagpasang ibalita ng inyong lingkod. Subalit, hindi pa naman siguro huli ang lahat. Bakit hindi natin sariwain ang mga nagdaang pangyayari sa mundo ng KPOP sa Pinas.

Una na rito ay ang patuloy na paglabas ng mga kantang KPOP sa mga radyo, telebisyon, palengke at bangketa. Matapos ang Fire ng 2NE1, sinundan ito ng kanilang I Don't Care eh eh eh eh. At hindi lang iyan, makikita na rin sa MYX ang It's You ng Super Junior na nanatili sa ikaapat na puwesto sa "Daily Top Ten." Hindi rin nagpaawat ang Girls Generation. Kasalukuyang nasa ika-3 spot ang kanilang Genie sa nasabing programa.

Ayon sa ibang mga Pinoy, makikita na rin ang music video ng Ring Ding Dong ng SHINee, at ang Lachata ng f(x).

Mukhang unti unti na nga tayong iniinvade ng mga Koreans. Sana naman, magkatotoo ang isa sa mga pangarap ng lahat ng Pinoy na fans, ang dumalaw ang isang kpop group sa Pinas *siyanawa*.

Thunder speaks Tagalog

We all know that Dara's younger brother, Park SangHyun, also known as Thunder or Chundoong (too many names huh, hehe), entered the kpop biz too. Together with the other 5 boys, he debuted as the last member of Rain's self-produced boyband, MBLAQ.

MBLAQ had their radio guesting at Starry Starry Night Radio last October 20, 2009. The female DJ mentioned about Dara's being Thunder's sister, and that they lived in the Philippines.

He sounds like here noona, right. Filipinos were glad that Thunder still knows how to speak Tagalog. MBLAQ Filipino fans are hoping to see and hear Thunder speak Tagalog again. Even though they are not Filipinos, the Pinoys are still proud of the PARK family.

Super Juniors watches Sorry Sorry of Cebu Inmates

Oh yeah, it's true. Super Junior's Kangin, Shindong and Eunhyuk watched Sorry Sorry dance cover of the famous Cebu Inmates.

They were amazed and even noticed the perfect line. Eunhyuk noticed that the dance steps were different but still, they were amazed.

Uhm excuse me, where did they got the English lyrics? Why don't they use the English version. And oh, some fans are really reacting to the dances. They are demanding the artists to use the original dance step. Calling all choreographers, please make the fans happy.

KPOP artists and Filipino fans on a TV Show

Kpop in the Philippines was featured on GMA's Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho last August 8. It was the last story of that day's episode.

The story featured Wonder Girls, and their song Nobody that hit Philippines; 2NE1's Sandara Park, Rain, and an exposure of TVXQ with the Cassiopeia Philippines, the TVXQ's fanclub here. They featured a Filipino fan who loves collecting CDs, DVDs, photobooks and posters. Also, they showed Cassiopeia Philippines too.

Whatever it is, I still believe that KPOP is already popular in the Philippines A LONG TIME AGO. It's just that people might not know that the person sitting beside her/him is also a TVXQ fan, or a Super Junior fan. With regards to "selfishness" because of "maraming kaagaw", well, kchismax believe that YOU indeed have lots of "kaagaw" even if they are not popular in the Philippines. Isn't it that TVXQ has the most number of fans (well, they only counted the official fans, how about the international fans).

MANILA, Philippines – The world has gone crazy over Korean pop. Very popular right now are boy bands and girl groups with members who harmonize beautifully and showcase well-choreographed dance steps. Good-looking, stylish, entertaining and hotter than kimchi, these are some of Korea’s most in-demand groups.

Wonder Girls

Breaking into the music scene in early 2007, the group—composed of Sohee, Mimi, Sun, Yenny and Hyuna—was introduced in an MTV show and became popular thanks to massive hits such as “Tell Me,” “So Hot” and “Nobody.”

Hyuna eventually had to be pulled out by her parents ostensibly for health reasons (she is now with another girl group called 4minute), but she was replaced by Yubin, who has a solo rap part in the new version of “Tell Me.”

The video for the song features a fun and easy-to-imitate choreography, which has resulted in a dance craze with fans from all over the world posting videos of themselves imitating the same moves.

The girls have performed in places like Bangkok and China and have invaded the US as well with an English version of “Nobody” and a front-act appearance for the Jonas Brothers. An English album is said to be in the works.

Big Bang

This all-male musical group consists of five talented singers/dancers—G-Dragon, Tae Yang, T.O.P., Daesung and Seung Ri — who, even before coming together as a group, were successful solo artists. G-Dragon and Tae Yang started their careers when they were 12 years old, while T.O.P. was an underground rapper.

Apart from releasing award-winning albums and mini-albums of hip-hop songs, the Big Bang boys are also famous for their freestyle and street dancing. They are trendsetters, too, with their slanted caps, cornrows, triangular scarves, shutter shades and faux-hawks.

Famous for hits like “Haru Haru,” “La-la-la,” and “Number 1,” the boys command legions of fans in places like Japan, where they have released Japanese versions of their songs.

2NE1

Tagged as the female version of Big Bang, 2NE1 counts CL, Bom, Minzy and Dara (more popularly known as Sandara Park to Pinoys) as its members. While they can all sing and dance (their choreography is very impressive), each girl is unique when it comes to voice quality, image and fashion style. Still, they complement one another and look fab as a group.

Their first single, “Lollipop,” was an advertisement song with Big Bang that was used to promote a phone. Their actual debut single as a group, however, is the very energetic and catchy song “Fire.” The song has two music videos, one of which was featured on Perez Hilton’s blog.

It has also been reported that Interscope Records is interested in an American album for the girls. Not bad for a group that appeared on the scene only a couple of months ago.

2NE1 is scheduled to release a mini-album next week, one that contains the reggae-tinged pop/R&B song called “I Don’t Care.” We can’t wait to hear if the rest of their stuff is as good as “Fire.”

Nobody and Fire

Let's start with the Nobody craze. Last July 19, ASAP's IT GIRLS performed Nobody. However they used the English translation by a girl named JeAnne Ehriel.

Still, they used the micstand and the steps too. But people think they still need more energy.

How about SOP's Beautiful Girls? They performed nobody too. This time using the real English version, but I think they got confused between SNSD and Wonder Girls.

Next stop Fire.

Last July 18, at Wowowee, dancers Shaina, Rodjun and Mickey danced the song in a remix version. They changed the steps, used some but at the wrong part.

July 19, at the gameshow The Singing Bee, they used the song at the "To Bee Continued" round. Frenchie Dy sang the lyrics.

Hmmmm, not bad, at least she managed to sing it. We can't blame her, she's not a Korean.

Many Filipinos still don't want to see or hear their favorite kpop songs over the local televisions nor local radio stations. We have our own opinions.

Some were happy others were not. Some people will only be happy if they will give justice to the song, even though it's only a parody. Hmmmmm,

Dara denied her relationship with Joseph Bitangcol

Fresh, hot news from Korea. Sandara's representative stated yesterday (July 14) that Dara's relationship with Joseph Bitangcol was just a made-believe one. A YG representative said on the telephone interview, "He used the expression of 'ex-girlfriend' because they had appeared together as made-believe couples in the Filipino version of 'We Got Married'. They did not date each other." Her representative also stated that "Programmes set with love relationship in the Philippines are really popular. Hence Sandara had worked with this male entertainer. It seems that the truth has been distorted and misunderstood by many here in Korea."

Filipino netizens were not happy with these article. Some Filipino 2NE1 fans were used to be fans of Dara when she was still in the Philippines.

-why do yg always state the opposite...i mean...i'm a filipino..i know sandara more.. i mean..yes it is really true that the two had a relationship not only they were paired as love team
-that is so not true! every1 in the philippines know that they had a relationship! i'm shocked and disappointed that yg denied about their relationship
-by denying this even more , it will cause RUMORS and sepculations instead
-this makes YG and possibly Dara look bad for not telling the truth even though I know that it's most likely not Dara's idea to deny the relationship
-they shouldn't have released this statement, maybe they are not aware that some Filipino fans are still supporting Dara and that 2NE1 have Filipino fans

Some Filipino netizens says that the guy YG is pertaining to is Hero Angeles, not Joseph Bitangcol.

Why deny a relationship that was opened to the public years ago. YG Entertainment dissappointed some Filipino fans. After all, having a past relationship doesn't matter. It's normal for person, right?

Kpop songs invades MYX

For the past few days, kpop songs are entering MYX Daily Top 10.
Started with 2NE1's Fire that entered the chart folloewd by Wonder Girls' Nobody.

For a few days, Fire was able to get the number one spot.

Base on the charts above, Wonder Girls' Nobody and Super Junior's Sorry Sorry were able to get on the list too.

According to some Filipino netizens, 2PM's Again and Again, DBSK's Wrong Number and SNSD's Gee were also being played at My MYX and Pop MYX. Some were happy about it, others are not.

Will kpop starts to invadePhilippines just like how Taiwanese artists such asF4 and Farenheit invaded us? Well, that's something Pinoy KPOP fans must watch out.

Sandara's still In

Last July 11, the show Sketchbook in S.Korea featured 2NE1. In the said program, Sandara sang a part of her s0ng In or Out for their solo perfs. In or Out was one of her songs here in Philippines.

She sang the original song without changing the Tagalog lyrics. Filipino netizens were happy.

"punta tayo sa fiesta" -dara

Last July 8, 2ne1's mini album was released with 6 tracks. One of the song was "Let's Go Party". In the said song, each members spoke "let's go party" in different language. CL said in in French, Minji in Japanese, Dara in Filipino, and Bom in Korean.

Yes, Dara said "punta tayo sa fiesta". Weird translation though but still many Filipino kpop followers were happy.

So, are we going to hear more of Dara speaking in Tagalog? We'll find out
